Alicia Hernandez Scholarship

Alicia Hernandez Scholarship In honor of Alicia Hernandez, a long-time Latino Club advisor and Enrollment Services Specialist here at CLC, the CLC Latino Alliance offers this scholarship. Alicia was a teacher assistant in the Waukegan school district for 17 years when she returned to CLC to earn her Associate Degree and later a bachelor degree from NEIU. Alicia’s impact on Latino students has been instrumental in transforming the Latino Alliance Club into the organization it is now. The Latino Alliance holds a banquet each spring to raise funds for this scholarship. This scholarship provides two $1,000 awards to a student(s) who is a member of the CLC Latino Alliance club. Award to be directed to tuition, fees, and books. Number and amount of awards vary and are dependent upon current fund balance.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must be a current resident of Lake County, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, a member of the CLC Latino Alliance club. Preference given to a student who demonstrates leadership skills.
