CLC Study Abroad Scholarship

CLC Study Abroad Scholarship: sponsored by College of Lake County offers up to 50% of the total cost of semester study abroad program. These scholarships are aimed to provide funding for those students who may not otherwise be able to afford to participate in a study abroad program. To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must have already applied and been accepted to the study abroad program.

To be eligible for a CLC Study Abroad Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application
• Have completed at least 6-12 credits at the College of Lake County
• Have a minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
• Have not previously received a CLC study abroad scholarship
• Submit a complete scholarship application (general application and additional questions). Only complete applications will be considered.
• Submit two letters of recommendation (one of which must be from a CLC faculty member)
Preference will be given to applicants who are currently enrolled full time at the College of Lake County.

Note that each study abroad program may have a different priority scholarship deadline. The deadlines are as follows:

  • Japan – 12/8/2017
  • Italy Culinary Arts – 02/22/2018
  • Italy Business – 02/22/2018
  • Switzerland, Netherlands, Germany – 02/22/2018
  • Tanzania – 02/22/2018
  • Costa Rica – 03/22/2018
  • Iceland – 03/22/2018
